Well, the name says it all. Back in 1973 when the Forties Field was being developed Jackson Marine put this small ship to work in the North Sea. By then the Europeans were building ships with funnels just aft of the accommodation, so as to limit the possibility of the engines being put out by big waves. The UT 704 was only two years away. But unusually this ship is still at sea disguised as the BB Lifter, fitted with a crane on the afterdeck. It is powered by two Cats developing 2500 bhp collectively which are connected to variable pitch props. Probably a later upgrade.
