I am off to Aberdeen for a couple of weeks tomorrow, and so hope to get some new photographs of the ships coming in and out for the port, but just as a starter here is a photo of the bay to the south of Girdleness which is currently being turned into an extension of the main harbour. So the Oyster Catchers will not be facing into the wind on the rocky shore this year as they have for many years in the past. But we have to move on, and this bay, which was the best sea view in the city was overlooked only by council flats, and on the shore provided the location for Aberdeen sewage works.
