Ocean rig were recently in the news for buying a drill ship at ten cents on the dollar. Was it a good idea people ask. As well as buying second hand they have new building in progress, and this is the Ocean Rig Santorini at anchor in South Korea, due for deliver early next year.  It is a drillship with everything you could possibly want. Dual activity derrick, DPIII and the ability to drill in water depths of 3650 metres (12000 ft). It also has accommodation for 215 people.
