I have chosen this year just to carry on as usual, despite the festive season, because that's what lots of people have to do. So here is an interesting view of the Safe Truck aft controls. The ship was a UT755 I think and the photograph shows the driver's view of the cargo on the deck and the availability of the controls. On the left of the photo are the thruster controls and on the right the main engine controls.

In the centre is the joystick, and just in passing I designed a couple of features possibly still available on joysticks today. One is the X,Y readout which shows the position of the stick, and the other is the "low gain" control for use when the ship is under the crane.
