I realise that I don't often feature platforms on the site. This is because they are not really marine objects. They are piled into the seabed, and often do not have anyone on board them who have ever had any sort of marine experience, never mind training. So just for a change here is one of the more complex groups of platforms in the North Sea - the Buzzard Field. The field was discovered in 2001. There is a jack-up derrick cantilevered over the wellhead platform.
