Here is a photo from the past. The well known offshore tug Typhoon and the anchor-handling tug Dag Viking, apparently working with a pipe layer back in the 1980s. The Dag Viking was one of a number of ships developed specifically for doing anchor work in the North Sea. Their advantage was high power, a big winch and a very short working deck which allowed for the easy recovery of anchors and the preparation for picking up anchor buoys. The ship is apparently still at work in Nigeria according to Ship Spotting.
