Another small ship leaves the scene on the way to the breakers, or as they like to be known today "the ship recyclers". This is the VOS Dee a Vroon standby vessel which was originally a PAT71 ship type, the Normand Carrier, built in 1974. We should remember that back in the old days ships had a very short life and were showing their age after 10 years. This fine vessel is 32 and as we have illustrated on these pages, Vroon are building new ships, so maybe it is time to say goodbye to it.
