Here is an unusual view of the Allseas pipelayer Audacia. It entered service in 2007 and maintains it position with Dynamic Positioning. It is interesting that the stinger down which the pipe is deployed is on the bow, so one assumes that when it is at work laying pipe it goes backwards. It was going to sea the other day from Ijmuiden after what the photographer described as a "winter layup" although the company media section has not chosen to tell us what this fine vessel is going to do.
