Some times it is difficult to see precisely what attracts shipowners to a particular vessel type, and so it is with the Havyard 832CD (CD standing for Clean Design - a DNV notation). One assumes that there is a relationship of some sort between the Hayard design house and Havila the shipowners, since they seem to be the major customer for the company designs. Of course Havyard also own the shipyard at Leirvik. So in the Havyard 832 we have a medium sized platform ship, just a bit larger than a UT755 and a bit smaller than the UT745 equivalents which go for 1000 m2 deck area. But having said all that it looks pretty tasty.
