Here is the Dignity 1 photographed a month or two ago in Malta. It was once the Furore G described as a "Chase Vessel" hence used to try to keep merchant ships away from the cables of seismic ships. It was built as a platform ship in 1973, and in its current role it is getting out there to rescue asylum seekers who find themselves requiring rescue when their means of getting from the coast of North Africa to Italy sink. There might be some who think that with the onset of winter in the Med it might require rescue itself.

Photograph taken by Gaetano Spiteri and posted here on 22nd September 2016.
