Back in the day - the late 1990s - about ten KMAR404s were built for a number of owners, including Tidewater who had a few. But they were vessels of limited capability mainly due to the moderate size of the winch, which could have been assigned to ships ten years earlier. Shortly after their construction the new company Deep Sea Supply hoovered them all up, and fortunately for them the purchases seemed to coincide with a shortfall in the availability of anchor-handlers, so they probably made some money.
