I was watching the news last night and saw a reporter talking from the deck of the Ocean Viking, surrounded by a group of people who had been picked up by the ship from the sea. It and the "Open Arms" have been refused permission to enter Italian ports and at present no other countries are coming forward. The Ocean Viking has 246 people on board and the other vessel 121. The Ocean Viking was a UT 735, built in Norway in the early 1980s. The picture shows it leaving Aberdeen carrying a cargo of containers.

Photo taken in 2004 and posted here on 14th August 2019.
