Here is the very modern Kfels N Class jack-up the Rowan Viking. Jack-ups are odd things, much happier when perched up on their legs than floating and this one has legs 600 ft long and can drill in water depths of 435 ft. This is the sort of depth which used to require a semi-submersible back in the early days. It is one of three of the same class, built originally for someone else, but purchased by Rowan off the stocks.
