The first PSV built by this company was Active Swan, in 2005. It was a large ship, more than 90 metres long with a deck area of more than 1000 m2, and DPII. It is not completely obvious why this ship was particularly suitable to the purchasers, originally Active Offshore but one should bear in mind that some designs incurr considerable cost in terms of the equipment supply, making the designs where the yard has more freedom to source equipment more attractive. It can be seen from the spec that the aft aziprops were extremely powerful.
