The Ulstein A122 first entered service for Olympic in 2009, and its claimed to be a "hybrid propulsion vessel". To Ulsteins this is not quite the same as your hybrid car, since they suggest that this is a combination of direct drive - engines to propellers - and diesel electric, generators supplying electric power to the thrusters. As the modern style tends to be, it has a large crane and an ROV hanger and probably storage for multiple thousands of metres of wire or fibre rope.
