Here is the Kelly Ann Candies at work out in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil. This is an American Jones Act complaint ship. It was built in the USA, registered there and crewed by Americans - if it is working in the Gulf of Mexico, and it is currently engaged in survey operations on quite a choppy day out there. It can maintain 14 divers in sat, and the lifeboat in sight is a hyperbaric one.
Jan Plug, who took the photo a few days ago has sent photographs of this craft before, but it is alarmingly unattractive so I have passed it by up to now. But a Jones Act ship working foreign - that's almost news so it is being posted today 18th May 2017.
