The MT6000 Skandi Buchan on its way into Aberdeen back in 2004, then on hire to Total. It is still on hire to Total 14 years later and may have six years to go. This is a company that does not like change, or maybe the support ship has achieved its ultimate form with nearly 1000 m2 available and 8000 bhp distributed amounts a couple of thrusters forward and azimuthing propulsion aft.

I have worked for Total both at sea and ashore and they are a great company. While many organisations are sacking everyone in sight their CEO has been recorded as saying that they will not be making anyone redundant, they'll just sit it out.
