Here is the Karadeniz One preparing to tow the Sedneth 701 out of Malta, one assumes on its way to the breakers. We are gradually seeing the departure of the Sedco 700 semi-submersibles which were mostly built in the 1970s and much favoured by operators because of their considerable deck space - this in spite of their otherwise rather primitive specification. And the ship - once the Troms Skarven a UT716 built in 1986 with 13000 odd bhp available. A pretty high spec craft in its day. Photographed for our old site when it was working out in Brazil.

This photo by Gaetano Spiteri the other day and published here on 24th March 2016.
