The ship illustrating this short article is the Havila Aurora, on its way into Aberdeen with the local wind farm in the background. I took it while I was in the city helping the team in Marex Marine and Risk Consultancy to come to terms with the loss of their MD, who died on Christmas Night. The company's mariners carry out inspections on ships such as the Aurora and have assisted wind farm operators with their marine activities. It is a good job and the company is a close knit friendly organisation, and if you don't know Aberdeen although it is a long way north it is a vibrant and fun city.
