You may remember that back in 2000 the Normand Pioneer was hired to take the LR5 rescue submersible out to the Barents Sea where the Kursk lay damaged on the seabed. Well, here is the same ship in 2018 out in Brazilian waters, still looking good and working out there. You can see that like most other anchor-handlers out there is has an ROV installation on the starboard side. I have not been there. or ever working on a ship with an ROV fitted, but I assume that they are used to assist with mooring operations, maybe connecting and disconnecting moorings from suction piles or some such.
