I have been reading that this fine vessel the Boa Thalassa has got a job, doing some survey work in the Far East. The ship is an MT6007 now a few years old, but readers might be interested in what sort of survey work the ship does. It is involved in what the industry knows as 4D seismic, where the fourth dimension is time. The task is carried out by the ship laying seismic cable, or cables (I'm not sure which) on the seabed and thereafter carry out the survey of what is happening down there in the reservoir over time. Good stuff!
The photo was taken as the ship was entering Ijmuiden in 2009 and is posted here on 14th March 2019.
